Lions is a community service organisation! People join Lions because they want to use their intellect, creativity, commitment and enthusiasm to get things done.
The Manning River Lions Club undertakes the following service projects:
The Hub Markets
Our major fundraising activity is The Hub Markets - held on the third Saturday of every month at the Taree Showgrounds.
You can visit our Hub Markets page by clicking here.
Since 2012 our Club has been organising and conducting Camp Memories on the second weekend in November each year.
Camp Memories is an annual camp-out for children with special needs and their families. The camp caters for over 30 families with around 120 people participating in two full days of fun and games.
For more information on Camp Memories please visit our Camp Memories page by clicking here.
The Club mans the football gates at Taree City Bulls home games at Jack Neal Oval as well as the Group 3 Rugby League Football final series.
The Manning River Lions Club accepted responsibility to maintain Apex Lookout in November 2013. The popular Apex Lookout is located in Ritchie Cres, Taree.
Work involves mowing lawns, doing edges, maintaining gardens and weed control. Over time the Club hopes to further develop and enhance the lookout.
