    Camp Memories - 11th-13th November 2016

    Applications are now open for this year's Camp Memories. The camp will be held from Friday, 11th November 2016 through to Sunday, 13th November 2016.

    Camp Memories is an annual camp for children with special needs and their families. This year around 32 families attended with 72 children taking part in a wide range of activities which included archery, camel rides, sand art, arts and crafts, science, swimming, dance and movement as well as a visit from emergency services (police, ambulance and rural fire service).

    Places are limited so campers are asked to submit their application quickly.

    The Hub Markets - 15th October 2016

    Another great Hub Markets on Saturday, 17th September 2016. We had a bumper turnout of stallholders and a very large crowd throughout the morning.

    The next markets will be held on Saturday, 15th October 2016. We are looking forward to although great day.

    Changeover Dinner - 26th June 2016

    Manning River Lions Club held its Changeover Dinner at Mondrook Garden, 699 Tinonee Rd, Mondrook on Sunday, 26th June 2016 at 12:15pm for 12:45pm.

    President Kevin Nicholson and his new Board was installed into their respective offices by PDG Mal Merrick.

    The Club has a busy year ahead with the Annual District Convention, 100th Anniversary of Lions Clubs International as well as all our regular service projects.

    Youth of the Year Award

    Manning River Lions Club held its annual Youth of the Year dinner on Wednesday, 24th February 2016. Congratulations to all the contestants - Tiana Hepworth, Bella Clements, Kylie Neilson and Sarah Ward - for participating in the Lions ‪‎YOTY‬ program.

    The overall winner was Kylie Neilson with the Public Speaking Award going jointly to Bella Clements and Kylie Neilson.

    Kylie now goes on to represent Manning River Lions Club in the Regional Youth of the Year final to be held in Forster-Tuncurry on 19th March 2016.

    Rod & Jill Illidge - Citizen of the Year Award

    Congratulations to Rod & Jill Illidge on being awarded the Manning Valley Citizen of the Year Award on Australia Day (26th January 2016) - in part due to their generous contribution to Camp Memories - Taree, NSW as well as the many community groups they assist and support.

    Youtube Channel

    Manning River Lions Club has created a Youtube channel for videos of our activities & events.

    The first video we have uploaded is our presentation to the Lions 201N1 District Convention in Sawtell to host the 2016 District Convention in Taree.

    We hope to bring more short videos of our Club in action.
